Biblical TV is a German television station in Hamburg with a 24-hour program largely funded by donations. Henning Röhl was the general manager until the beginning of 2013. Matthias Brender has been the only general manager of Bible TV since the beginning of 2013.
The 24-hour Bible TV program consists of reports, documentaries, Bible readings, sermons and consulting programs, as well as round tables and talk shows on topics from all Christian areas. In addition, children’s TV shows, television and feature films (mostly Italian and German, some made in the USA) and Christian music programs from classical music to pop music are broadcast.
There are only a few in-house productions such as Bible TV speech. Additives are mostly cheap, for free. Individual programs are produced together with the partners.
The standard program includes two films of Jesus based on Luke (1979) and Matthew (South Africa 1993, four episodes).
Bible TV members represent different sects and theological views. In order to avoid the resulting conflicts, it was decided not to publish the service initially. Regular worship recordings have only been part of the program since March 2009 and are currently run by the Ziegler Institutes (translated into German sign language), ERF Medien, Evangelische Medienhaus and Power Clock.
A large part of the program is run by a variety of small program partners, some of which are public churches and free churches. The Protestant Church (EKD) program in Germany provides a greater number of contributions.
Catholic production companies also have contributions. Since 2016 Bibel TV collaborates with the Catholic Domradio and broadcast 8 live every weekday on weekdays in the morning I am the Mass cathedral, as well as other Catholic services live in the Muenster Münster Cathedral and Cologne Cathedral. The remaining services are published as registers. Annual gratitude services are also broadcast live to celebrate the launch of Bible TV.
